PURPOSE: A battery is provided to improve safety and to prevent the ignition and explosion of a battery in advance by cutting the pouch of a sub battery module by a cutting unit even in an abnormal operation state. CONSTITUTION: A battery(100) comprises a sub battery module which contains battery cells, electrode tab(120) which is extended in one direction from the battery cell, and a pouch which accommodates the battery cell, and a battery module case which protects the sub battery module. The battery has a settling groove(210) which has a concave part in the battery module case, and a cutting unit(220) which is protruded toward the sub battery module to cut the pouch when touches the pouch, in the settling groove. |
