<p>PURPOSE: A method for setting a non-reactive area in a touch screen and a system thereof are provided to allow a display unit of a display device to select an area which does not need to receive an input signal of touch, thereby making a non-reactive state when the selected area is touched. CONSTITUTION: A non-reactive area setting signal is received from a user(110). A display mode is converted into a mode which receives setting of a non-reactive area(120). The non-reactive area is set by the user(150). The set non-reactive area is inactivated for decompressed type touch or electrostatic touch.
