PURPOSE: An apparatus calculating the time-shared length for the sensibility classification based on heart rate variability and the condition of characteristic combination, and a method thereof are provided to build a database for a reliable study based on a bio-signal by considering a time-share length simultaneously with multi-dimensional characteristic combination for the sensibility classification. CONSTITUTION: A method of calculating the time-shared length for the sensibility classification based on heart rate variability and the condition of characteristic combination is as follows. An input unit(110) receives the bio-signal input of a user(110). A characteristic extraction unit(120) extracts a digitized characteristic value from multiple different time-shared lengths in the bio-signal according to the state of sensitivity. A characteristic combination unit(130) makes the extracted characteristic value to be composed as multiple characteristic combinations. A linear classifier(140) evaluates the composed characteristic combinations. A determining unit(150) uses the evaluated result to calculate the time-shared length and the condition of the characteristic combination.
