PURPOSE: A splash screen display device and a method thereof are provided to supply a splash screen not requiring different images corresponding to the change of screen resolution. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(301) displays a splash screen. An input unit(305) receives an execution request of an application program of a user. A storage unit(320) stores the application program and splash screen information. When the execution request of the application program is received, a control unit(310) determines the storage of the splash screen information capable of editing corresponding to the application program. When the splash screen information capable of editing is stored, the control unit composes and displays a splash screen corresponding to the splash screen information.
