The undercarriage has a leg connected to a structure of an aircraft and including a lower part (5) on which a beam (3) carrying wheels of the undercarriage is articulated by a pivot (7), which is stopped in rotation on the beam or on the leg. Needle bearings (10a, 10b) are interposed between the pivot and the beam. The leg is free to rotate on the pivot. The bearings are formed as needle bushes whose needles are directly attached to a cylindrical surface opposite to the pivot. Openings (11a, 11b) are placed in the beam.
