A pedal system for a vehicle is provided to reduce user fatigue and ensure easier driving for drivers used to drive a stick shift vehicle by allowing the drivers to operate a pedal plate with their left foot. A pedal system for a vehicle comprises a base(1), a first rotary shaft, a second rotary shaft, a pedal plate(7), a first neutral support, a first switch, a second neutral support, a second switch, and a controller. The base is fixed to the vehicle body. The first rotary shaft is rotatable with respect to the base. The second rotary shaft is installed at the first rotary shaft and rotatable perpendicular to the first rotary shaft. The pedal plate is installed on the second rotary shaft, comprising a foot-fitting member(13) on a front side of the pedal plate to allow a user to insert his/her foot and rotate the pedal plate in a lifting direction of the front side of the pedal plate. The first neutral support is installed between the first rotary shaft and the base to support a neutral state where the first rotary shaft is balanced with respect to the base, and allow rotation of the first rotary shaft to opposite sides around the neutral state. The first switch is configured to change electrical connection state when the first rotary shaft is rotated to the opposite sides around the neutral state. The second neutral support is installed between the first and second rotary shafts to support a neutral state where the second rotary shaft is balanced with respect to the first rotary shaft, and allow rotation of the second shaft to opposite sides around the neutral state. The second switch is configured to change electrical connection state when the second rotary shaft is rotated to the opposite sides around the neutral state. The controller is configured to control the vehicle by receiving signals from the first and second switches. |
