PURPOSE: A sidewalk layer breakage prevention pipe is provided to prevent the root of a road side tree from growing to the upper surface of a bicycle road sidewalk by burying the pipe with a road side tree. CONSTITUTION: A sidewalk layer breakage prevention pipe(1) is formed of an air-permeable plastic material having a resistance to chemical substances secreting from the root of a tree, and has a cylindrical or polygonal shape with a predetermined width and height. The pipe can be produced using one of the materials selected from concrete, stainless steel, iron, or recycled plastics instead of an air-permeable plastic material.
