PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus for a tapping hole of a converter is provided to supply cooling fluid inside a sleeve through a supplying pipeline in order to smoothly discharge molten steel, thereby improving the quality of the molten steel by preventing slag from being discharged together with the molten steel. CONSTITUTION: A cooling apparatus(1) for a tapping hole of a converter comprises a supplying pipeline(20) and a main pipeline(30). The supplying pipeline is installed along the outer periphery of a sleeve(14) installed at the tapping hole, and then guides the movement of cooling fluid(24). The main pipeline connected to the supplying pipeline transfers the cooling fluid to the supplying pipeline. The cooling fluid includes argon gas. The supplying pipeline includes multiple pipe members(22) installed along the outer periphery of the sleeve. The pipe members communicate with the inside of the converter, and supply the cooling fluid to the inside of the converter. The main pipeline includes a ring-shaped pipeline member(32) which communicates with the pipe members, and a transferring pipeline member(34) which is installed along the outer side of the converter and is connected to the ring-shaped pipeline member. The cooling fluid is supplied to the inside of the sleeve through the supplying pipeline in order to smoothly discharge molten steel(13), thereby improving the quality of the molten steel by preventing slag from being discharged together with the molten steel. |
