PURPOSE: A carbonation treatment apparatus and a method are provided to be established easily in connection with the already installed production process of the recycled aggregate, to require no duplicated administration to the panel of the mechanic apparatus and the operation in order to operate a separate production line, and to require no additional land for a separate storage yard. CONSTITUTION: A carbonation treatment apparatus comprises a vertical mixer chamber(10) and a screw which transfers the recycled aggregate to top by rotation.. A recycled aggregate inlet port(11) and the vertical mixer chamber are installed in the lower part. A recycled aggregate outlet port(12) is formed in the vertical upper part. A carbon dioxide gas inlet port(13) which supplies carbon dioxide gas into the mixer chamber is formed in the inside. A recycled aggregate supplied to the vertical mixer chamber inlet port rises and moves by the screw, continuously contacts the carbon dioxide gas supplied by the carbon dioxide gas inlet port to be carbonated and rise, and is discharged through the ventilation part.
