PURPOSE: A surrounding image providing device is provided to compare the external illumination intensity sensed by a car with the standard, to control an auxiliary lighting around a car based on the comparison result and to take an image of the surroundings of the car. CONSTITUTION: A surrounding image providing device includes an image acquisition unit(100), a surrounding image generation unit(200) and a control unit(300). The control unit compares the external illumination of a vehicle detected by a luminance sensor(500) with the predetermined standard and control auxiliary lightings(610,620,630) around the vehicle based on the comparison result. The image acquisition unit obtains multiple images of the images with different directions around the vehicle. The surrounding image generation unit synthesizes the obtained multiple images on a projection plane forming the surroundings of the vehicle and generates the surrounding synthetic images of the car.
