PURPOSE: A surrounding visual display apparatus of a vehicle and a method of a vehicle are provided to extract a virtual viewpoint corresponding to the travelling direction of a vehicle from storage and to display a surrounding synthetic image viewed from the extracted virtual image. CONSTITUTION: A surrounding visual display apparatus of a vehicle includes an image acquisition unit(100), a traveling direction determination unit(200) and a control unit(300). The image acquisition unit acquires an image surrounding a vehicle, projects the acquired image to a projection plane forming the periphery of the vehicle and generates the surrounding synthetic image of the vehicle which is viewed from a virtual viewpoint. The storage stores each virtual viewpoint of the travelling directions of the vehicle as a three dimensional coordinate. The control unit extracts the virtual viewpoint corresponding to a determined traveling direction from the storage and displays the surrounding synthetic image viewed from the extracted virtual viewpoint.
