The invention relates to a card contacting device comprising: a plurality of reading contacts which are arranged in at least one row, preferably in two rows, and have contact domes for contacting the contact zones of a card that has contact zones corresponding with the reading contacts and having a certain length and width; a card carriage for receiving a card, said card carriage being movable back and forth between an open position and a reading position and being provided with a gripping section on the front side thereof in the direction of insertion to manually grip and retract the card carriage; and a pre-warning switch that can be actuated by a card, has a switching path, and detects a movement of the card carriage out of the reading position thereof. The card contacting device further comprises a manually movable card actuation slider for actuating the card carriage, by means of the rear edge of the card, out of the reading position in which the card carriage is fully inserted in the card contacting device. |
