PURPOSE: A stator for a linear motor and the linear motor are provided to prevent eddy current by using a core member made of thin electromagnetic steel sheets. CONSTITUTION: A linear motor(100) includes a movable element(110) and a stator(120). The movable element includes an armature core(112), coils(113), and a primary pole magnet(130). The stator includes a yoke(121) and a protrusion(122).
