<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article carrier comprising first gripping members and second gripping members separately gripping first and second members of an article, and to provide an article processing apparatus assembling the second member to the first member in the carrier after supplying the first member to the article carrier. <P>SOLUTION: The article carrier comprises: first gripping members 16, 18 gripping a first member 6 of an article 10; second gripping members 20, 22 arranged above and gripping a second member 8; and a first opening and closing member and a second opening and closing member opening and closing the gripping members, respectively, where the first gripping members and the second gripping members can be separately opened and closed.
