PERIPHERAL DEVICE, AND CONNECTION METHOD OF HOST DEVICE AND PERIPHERAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of performing processing for forming a logical connection with a host device again without connecting/disconnecting a physical connection even when a logical connection with the host device has been formed in a peripheral device.

SOLUTION: The peripheral device capable of performing data communication with the host device using any one of first kind and second kind interfaces having different specifications related to the data communication includes: a single connection part capable of being selectively connected with a first kind connector or a second kind connector; and a control part for performing initial connection processing of forming a logical connection with the host device using any one of the first kind and second kind interfaces. The control part is further capable of disconnecting the logical connection formed by the initial connection processing and forming a logical connection again with the host device in the state of maintaining a physical connection.
