The invention relates to a security structure (1) comprising: a transparent substrate (4); a lens array (3) on a first side (4b) of the substrate; and, on a second side (4a) of the substrate, a field of basic patterns (2) that can be observed through the lens array (3), with a transparent varnish (6) partially covering the lens array. Said varnish takes the form of at least one macroscopic pattern that locally cancels the effect of the lenses and allows the half-tone subjacent basic patterns (2) to be observed. The macroscopic pattern or patterns are not co-ordinated spatially with the field of basic patterns (2).
