<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system which suppresses interference and enhances its wireless transmission property. <P>SOLUTION: A wireless communication system comprises a wireless base station and a relay station. The wireless base station transmits wireless signals having a first communication format. The relay station comprises: a monitoring unit for monitoring the number of subordinate mobile stations; and a communication format conversion unit for converting the first communication format on the basis of a monitoring result to relay the wireless signals. Also, when the monitoring unit recognizes that the number of mobile stations is less than a threshold, the communication format conversion unit converts the first communication format into a second communication format to relay the wireless signals by the second communication format. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
