PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a hypochlorous acid by an optimized amount at home.

SOLUTION: The method for generating a hypochlorous acid by a non-diaphragm method includes the steps of: obtaining a chloride ion concentration in the tap water for each region from the water purification data of bureaus of waterworks in the whole country; estimating a chloride ion concentration that is required for generating a target concentration of hypochlorous acid according to the obtained chloride ion concentration; and adjusting the concentration value as required.
