The long material is drawn through a drawing tool, using a driven carriage, which engages at the beginning of the material. After leaving the drawing tool, the end of the material is held by a clamp, and is stretched between clamp and drawing carriage. The carriage has an additional drive for the stretching, and the speed of the carriage is lower during stretching than during drawing. The clamp may be moved in opposition to the direction of movement of the carriage, and allows a twisting of the material. |
