(A) Cpds. of formula: and their acid-addn. salts (where R is halogen, CF3, alkoxy in the 7- or 8-posn.; A is H, alkyl; Z is OH, opt. substd. alkoxy, NHOH; R is H, alkyl; n is 0, 1 or 2); (B) the intermediates: (R2 is H, alkyl; R3 is NO2, NH2).
