<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission controller of a vehicle applicable to a vehicle mounted with an AMT, which enables a user of the vehicle to easily recognize appropriate replacement timing of a clutch. <P>SOLUTION: The controller sequentially calculates and renews the cumulative amount of the work of the clutch by sequentially accumulating the "amount of the work of the clutch for each minute time obtained by multiplying a rotation speed difference between the output shaft of an internal combustion engine and the input shaft of a stepped gear shift transmission by clutch torque of a clutch". The amount of wear of a friction plate of the clutch is sequentially estimated based on the cumulative amount of the work of the clutch. When the sequentially estimated amount of wear of the friction plate of the clutch exceeds a first predetermined value, the determination of "the clutch is worn" is made. The first predetermined value is set to the amount of wear corresponding to "replacement timing of the friction plate of the clutch".
