<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a gel mat that can be manufactured in a simple manufacturing process and at low cost, and that is ease of use and free from possible damage in case of being pierced or depressed. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a gel mat in which a layer formed of a fabric cloth or flock cloth 3 is disposed on the front surface thereof, and a plastic layer 4 formed of any of PVC, PE, PU or TPU material is disposed on the inner surface thereof, and a hermetically sealed bag formed by the lamination of the two layers is filled with gel 5, includes: (A) a step of cutting into thin flakes 1; (B) a step of heating two opposed thin flakes having the plastic layer 4 to produce a bag hermetically sealed at the periphery thereof except for an injection port; (C) a step of intermixing water, a monomer, a crosslinking agent, and an initiator to give a monomer solution, pouring the monomer solution into the bag from the injection port, and then closing the injection port; and (D) a step of heating the bag poured with the monomer solution to thoroughly polymerize the monomer solution in the bag for producing flaky gel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
