<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of a false color in a high frequency section by a simple image processing. <P>SOLUTION: A color imaging element including color filter arrangement, in which RGB filters corresponding to respective RGB colors are periodically arranged and G filters contributed the most for obtaining a luminance signal include two or more adjacent parts in horizontal, vertical, and slanting (NE, NW) directions (four directions) respectively is used. It is discriminated to which direction of four directions a correlation direction of luminance exists on the basis of pixel values of G pixels adjacent to respective directions at a minimum pixel interval. When the pixel value of the other color in a pixel position of a target pixel of a synchronization processing, which is extracted from a mosaic image, is calculated, the pixel value of the pixel of the other color can precisely be estimated by using the pixel value of the pixel of the other color existing in the correlation direction whose direction is thus discriminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
