<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, lightweight and inexpensive transfer for four-wheel-drive vehicles. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer for four-wheel-drive vehicles includes: a sub transmission that changes drive power from an input shaft to at least high- or low-speed stage; a multi-plate clutch mechanism that distributes the drive power from the sub transmission to a rear-wheel output shaft and a front-wheel output shaft; and a two-wheel/four-wheel-drive switching mechanism that selects two-wheel-drive mode or four-wheel-drive node. A switching mechanism 81 is provided for switching between the high-speed stage and the low-speed stage in the sub transmission, switching between the two-wheel-drive mode and the four-wheel-drive mode in the two-wheel/four-wheel-drive switching mechanism, and transmission torque control in the multi-plate clutch mechanism, by means of rotation of a single actuator 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
