PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data correction apparatus capable of obtaining uniform data by correcting spatially ununiform sensitivity distribution of a sensor while keeping a spatial uniformity of SNR distribution; a data correction method; a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus; and an X-ray CT apparatus.

SOLUTION: The data correction apparatus 1 includes: a sensitivity correction means for producing first processed data Sscorby performing sensitivity correction S2 to first objective data Sorigobtained based on correction objective data Sorigusing ununiform sensitivity distribution Isensof a sensor for acquiring the correction objective data Sorig; and an SNR distribution correcting means for producing a plurality of component data each subjected to corresponding weighting depending on an SNR distribution Wsnrand corresponding filtering S3 having a mutually different intensity using second objective data Sscorobtained based on the correction objective data Sorigto produce second processed data Sscor.nonuni.filby compositing S4 the pieces of the component data.
