[Problem] To position a high-output battery pack and a high-capacity battery pack in the optimal positions of a vehicle. [Solution] A vehicle has a motor and an engine which are the drive sources for driving the vehicle, and battery packs capable of supplying power to the motor. The battery packs include a high-output battery pack and a high-capacity battery pack. The high-output battery pack is capable of discharging at a relatively larger current than the high-capacity battery pack is. The high-capacity battery pack has a relatively larger energy capacity than the high-output battery pack does. When the engine is stopped and the motor output is being used to drive the vehicle, the high-capacity battery pack supplies more power to the motor than the high-output battery pack does. The high-output battery pack is positioned in the space inside the vehicle for accommodating luggage and passengers, while the high-capacity battery pack is positioned in a space outside the vehicle located on the outer surface of the vehicle body.
