<p>[Problem] Provided is an optical pickup device capable of suitably correcting deterioration of optical characteristics by accurately detecting the temperature of an optical element of an objective lens or the like, as well as a temperature detection device for accurately detecting the temperature of an optical element formed by resin material. [Solution] This optical pickup device has a semiconductor laser, a BD objective lens (107) which converges laser light which is emitted from the semiconductor laser upon a disc, a temperature sensor (411) for detecting the temperature of the BD objective lens (107), a collimating lens for correcting deterioration of the optical characteristics of the laser light that has passed through the BD objective lens (107), and a photodetector which receives the laser light reflected by the disc. The BD objective lens (107) is formed by resin material. The temperature sensor (411) is covered by a resin (412) comprising material having temperature characteristics similar to the resin material.</p> |
