<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractor for a seat belt that can perform a good clutch operation with a small number of components. <P>SOLUTION: A clutch 52 has a pin member 48 directly or indirectly fixed to a final gear 47 transmitting motive power to a motor 34, and rotated integrally with the final gear 47, and a friction spring 42 disposed around a latch ring 50 rotating with a spindle 12, fixed to the pin member 48 at its one end 42a, and retained by a lower cover 25 at the other end 42b so that it generates resistance force in rotation. A radius of the friction spring 42 is reduced in comparison with that before the operation of the clutch by the resistance force generated by the relative rotation of the friction spring 42 to the lower cover 25 in the operation of the clutch 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
