Ball joint includes a socket which forms the inner race, the inner wall of which is provided with three annulr grooves or a continuous helical groove(s) in which are or is located individual plastics rings or a plastics cord forming the plastics ring. Pref. rings are PTFE and ball joint is PTFE or polyamide contg. glass fibres and MoS2.
