摘要 The invention relates to an electronically commutated electrical motor. The electronically commutated electrical motor has at least two stator coils and an in particular permanent magnetic rotor. The electrical motor also has a power output stage having semiconductor switches, wherein the power output stage has a semiconductor switch pair for every stator coil. The electrical motor also has a control unit which is connected to the power output stage and designed to actuate the semiconductor switches to electrify the stator coils to generate a magnetic rotary field. The power output stage has at least one semiconductor isolating switch, in particular one for every stator coil, wherein the semiconductor isolating switch connects an output of a semiconductor switch pair to an output of the power output stage, wherein the output of the power output stage is connected to a stator coil. According to the invention, the control unit of the electrical motor is connected to the outputs of the semiconductor switch pairs and designed to supply a test current to at least one output of a semiconductor switch pair, preferably to every output of the semiconductor switch pairs. The control unit is preferably designed to detect output voltage generated at an output of the power output stage and to determine a function of at least one semiconductor switch of the semiconductor switches in dependence on the output voltage.
