In the present invention, the communication system comprises the following: at least one base station capable of sending and receiving a plurality of mutually independent wireless signals each having a different frequency; and a mobile station capable of communicating using one main wireless signal and at least one auxiliary wireless signal from among the plurality of wireless signals. Each of the mobile station and the base stations comprises a storage means for retaining setting information pertaining to the auxiliary wireless signal used by the mobile station. Each of the mobile station and a first base station that sends and receives the main wireless signal to/from the mobile station retain the setting information even after communication using the main wireless signal has been disconnected.
