The present invention relates to a composition for mass analysis of haptoglobin and a method for diagnosing cancer using the same. Cancer, such as lung cancer, which is a major cause of death, can be diagnosed early and treated using the composition containing a peptide derived from a haptoglobin a chain of the present invention. In addition, the progress of cancer can be determined and can provide useful treatment and surgery data. Therefore, the invention can be significantly applied to more efficiently treat cancer and determine the prognosis thereof.
