An information processing system comprises: a plurality of fans which can be sorted into two or more groups; a plurality of fan control means for controlling the fans; a plurality of selection means which are disposed in association with each of the plurality of fans, for selecting the fan control means from among the plurality of fan control means which controls a corresponding fan; and a control means which controls the plurality of selection mans such that a common fan control means is selected as a fan control means which controls fans which are in the same group.
