<p>Provided is a slider for a slide fastener, whereby damage to a slope surface caused by contact with a front-side engagement piece can be prevented and for which a cover member can be readily produced. The cover member (50) has a pair of right and left front-side engagement pieces (56) that engage with a front-side pillar section (30) and a pair of right and left rear-side engagement pieces (57) that engage with a rear-side pillar section (40). Protruding sections (32) that protrude outwards in the width direction of a body (20) are formed in the right- and left-side surfaces of the front-side pillar section (30); the outside surfaces of the protruding sections (32) slope downwards from the top end of the front-side pillar section (30); the pair of right and left front-side engagement pieces (56) form a rising slope surface (32a) when the cover member (50) is inserted into the front-side pillar section (30); the lower end sections of the pair of right and left front-side engagement pieces (56) are folded so as to gradually expand to the outside in the width direction as same go towards the bottom from the top of the cover member (50); and sloping surfaces (56a) are formed on the inside thereof.</p> |
