PURPOSE: A Korean character input method of a phone keypad is provided to arrange the Korean characters similar with the order of Korean characters, thereby easily finding locations of vowels and consonants. CONSTITUTION: Vowels in Korean characters are divided into five basic vowel groups. The vowels are selected and inputted corresponding to the input count of each number key by assigning the vowels to different five number keys. A diphthong is inputted by combining different number keys. A character is inputted by using only number keys corresponding to the input count and order of the inputted number keys.
