<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimming device, a lighting device, and a projector which can be miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: A dimming device 5 for controlling the amount of transmitted light of an incident luminous flux includes: driving means 52 which generates driving force; a pair of turning members 54 and 55 which have turning axes along a direction substantially orthogonal to a center axis of the luminous flux and are turned by the driving force; a pair of light shielding plates 56 and 57 which are held by the pair of turning members respectively and are inserted into a transmission area TA of the luminous flux from outside in accordance with turning of the turning members to shield at least a part of the luminous flux; and a holding member 51 which holds the driving means 52 and the pair of turning members 54 and 55. Respective turning members 54 and 55 include holding members 541 and 551 holding the light shielding plates 56 and 57, in positions where turning shafts C1 and C2 of the turning members 54 and 55 do not overlap with the light shielding plates 56 and 57 held by the turning members 54 and 55. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
