<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve convenience of a user and strength of security in an authentication device. <P>SOLUTION: When an image 950 for correction is displayed, and information for dividing an area is input to an input device, a line 800 indicating an input trajectory is displayed on a display part. Then, the display area is divided into two with the line 800 as a boundary, and a certain area 801 and an area 802 are generated. When the area 801 is selected as a segmentation area, the image for correction is updated such that the sun 911 whose whole part is displayed in the area 801 is deleted, and the updated image (image 951 for correction) is displayed. Also, the updated images (image 952 for correction and image 953 for correction) are successively displayed in response to a further instruction.
