ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT, LIGHTING DEVICE, AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which has high luminous efficiency, a low driving voltage, and a long service life and is excellent in stability with time.

SOLUTION: In the organic electroluminescent element, an organic layer composed of a plurality of layers including at least a light-emitting layer and an electron transport layer is held between an anode and a cathode. The light-emitting layer contains a blue phosphorescent organic metal complex in which a ligand represented by the general formula (1) is coordinated to a metal atom. The electron transport layer contains a pyridine derivative.
