<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for rapidly separating sulfur existing in a reducing slag and achieving the recovery of desulfurization ability without newly adding CaO sources, as a technique for reusing the reducing slag to reduce the amount of the reducing slag generated in a steelmaking step and discharged to the outside of a system. <P>SOLUTION: The method of regenerating the slag includes: suspending in water, a hot metal desulfurization slag generated through a hot metal-desulfurizing step; and bringing the desulfurization slag into contact with water that contains CO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>gas. Thus the sulfur component existing in the hot metal desulfurization slag is separated as H<SB POS="POST">2</SB>S gas and 2CaO and SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>contained inevitably in the desulfurization slag are precipitated and separated as CaCO<SB POS="POST">3</SB>and SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
