CHLORINE-CONTAINING MAGNESIUM OXIDE POWDER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnesium oxide powder emitting the ultraviolet light having around 250 nm wavelength in high efficiency when excited by the ultraviolet light generated by a gas discharge of Xe gas.

SOLUTION: The chlorine-containing magnesium oxide powder contains 0.005-10 mass% chlorine and magnesium oxide of ≥99.8 mass% purity in the total amount except the chlorine and has 0.1-30 m2/g BET specific surface area.
