<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine that effectively prevents a use of an improper tool, such as a mode checker. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 41a determines whether data of a RAM 41c is normal at a start. If the data of the RAM 41c is not normal, the CPU 41a makes the progress of a game impossible, and then the progress of the game is made possible on condition that a new setting value is selected/set. Meanwhile, if the data of the RAM 41c is normal, a CPU 91a returns in a state before a power blackout and sends a power supply command which can specify whether a special symbol combination is won.
