A rotary damper (8) is disposed between the side plate sections (41, 42) of the inner link (4) of a hinge device. The damper body (81) of the rotary damper (8) is adapted to be movable relative to the rotor (82) in the direction of the rotation axis of the rotor (82). A rotating cam plate (95) and a movable cam plate (96) are provided between the side plate section (42) and the damper body (81). The rotating cam plate (95) moves, depending on the rotational position thereof, the movable cam plate (96) in the direction of the rotation axis of the rotor (82), thereby moving the damper body (81) in the same direction. Then, the size of the gap (S1) formed between the bottom surface of the damper body (81) and the left end surface of the rotor (82) changes. This causes the resistance of the gap (S1) to the flow of fluid flowing through the gap (S1) to change, and as a result, the rotational speed of the rotor (82) when the rotor (82) rotates at low speed is adjusted. |
