Provided is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery that is stable and difficult for an environment of vibrations and shocks to affect. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided with a cathode electrode member that forms a positive electrode active layer on a positive current collector, a positive electrode that has a positive pole extraction tab fabricated as a unit with the positive current collector and bonded by a curved member connected to the peripheral edge of the positive electrode member, a negative electrode member that forms a negative electrode active layer on a negative current collector, a negative electrode that has a negative pole extraction tab fabricated as a unit with the negative current collector and joined by a curved member connected to the peripheral edge of the negative electrode member, and a separator placed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The positive electrode active layer is formed in the region enclosed by the curved members on both sides of the positive pole extraction tab. A projection that projects the positive electrode member perpendicular to the negative electrode member exists further inside than the outer form of the negative electrode active layer.
