PURPOSE: An aluminum alloy and a method for using the aluminum alloy are provided to wash a permanently refined AlSi alloy by flushing gas treatment with an inert gas through a blower, and to prevent melt from being contaminated in melting. CONSTITUTION: An aluminum alloy comprises 8.0 to 11.5 wt% of Si, 0.3 to 0.8 wt% of Mn, 0.08 to 0.4 wt% of Mg, maximum 0.4 wt% of Fe, maximum 0.1 wt% of Cu, maximum 0.1 wt% of Zn, maximum 0.15 wt% of Ti, 0.05 to 0.5 wt% of Mo, remnant Al, and inevitable impurities in order to manufacture a component having a high elongation in a casted state by die casting. The aluminum alloy includes 8.0 to 10.0 wt% of Si. The aluminum alloy includes 0.08 to 0.25 wt% of Mg. The aluminum alloy includes maximum 0.25 wt% of Fe. The aluminum alloy includes 0.08 to 0.25 wt% of Mo.
