PURPOSE: A device for preventing a gas stove from over-heating is provided to prevent a shaft and a case from fixing to each other by equipping a separate detachable fixing prevention unit in the case. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing a gas stove from over-heating comprises a shaft(40), a case, and a fixing prevention unit. The shaft comprises a spring supporting unit, a spring holding unit, and a shaft main body. The spring supporting unit with a large diameter covers the bottom circumferential part of the spring which elastically supports a heat collecting plate for being in a close contact with the bottom of a pot. The spring holding unit holds the bottom of the spring by curving towards a central shaft in the bottom end of the spring supporting unit. The shaft main body with a small diameter is downwardly extended in the inner circumference of the spring holding unit. The case is integrated with the heat collecting plate with the top end; covers the spring supporting unit of the shaft and the spring with the center; forms a curved unit in order to support the bottom of the spring holding unit with the bottom end; and elastically ascends or descends the shaft by covering the outer circumferential top end of the shaft main body and being downwardly extended from the curved unit. The fixing prevention unit is separately detachable from the case in order to prevent the shaft and case from fixing to each other by the overflow of soup.
