<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for extracting high pressure steam by allowing high pressure steam generated during mechanical refining to flow backward through one or more refining zones in plates. <P>SOLUTION: A refiner plate for refining a lignocellulosic material includes: a radially outer peripheral edge 40; a substrate surface; a refining zone 14 which includes a plurality of bars 18 substantially radially disposed and protruding upward from the substrate surface, and which includes grooves formed between the bars and has a given groove width; and a steam channel 34 which traverses the bars and grooves of the refining zone, and which includes a radially outer end on the radially inward side of the outer peripheral edge of the refiner plate and has a width substantially greater than the groove width. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
