<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel for a display device capable of easily detecting "crack", "chip" and the like of a substrate to which an external wire is not directly connected, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A panel for a display device includes: a first substrate 10 including a first electrode portion 11 and a connection portion 12 for electrically connecting the first electrode portion 11 to an external wire; a second substrate 20 which is provided so as to oppose to the first substrate 10 and includes a second electrode portion 21; and a common transition material 30 for electrically connecting the first electrode portion 11 and the second electrode portion 21 to each other. The second electrode portion 21 includes a detection portion for detecting a damage of the second substrate 20, and the detection portion is electrically connected to the first electrode portion 11 and the external wire through the common transition material 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
