The invention relates to a channel-selection method for a multi-band access point of a Wi-Fi access network with multi-band channel sharing between access points of the Wi-Fi network. A first band is referred to as a transmission band, while a second band is referred to as a signal band and has a wider radio coverage area than the transmission band. According to the invention, such a method (1) includes: a step (EM) of transmitting, in the signal band, first relevant information relating to the occupation of the transmission band by the access point; and a step (REC) of receiving, in the signal band, second relevant information relating to the occupation of the transmission band by adjacent access points, said steps being carried out concomitantly with every step of transmission in the transmission band.
