The plug has a housing (G1) for receiving an electrical plug-in contact (SK), where the housing comprises a mechanical fastening unit (VS) for fastening the housing to another housing (G2) that comprises an electrical socket contact (BK). The former housing has an opening (OF1) for connecting the electric plug-in contact with the electrical socket contact. The former housing has internal and external screw threads (GW) for moving the electrical plug-in contact along a longitudinal axis of the former housing, where the longitudinal axis extends through the opening. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a socket for an electrical plug connection (2) a method for producing a plug connection with a plug and a socket.
