PURPOSE: A battery system is provided to facilitate the location detection of an abnormal tray or a battery tray, and to facilitate the repairing of the abnormal tray. CONSTITUTION: A battery system comprises: a rack(120) having a plurality of battery tray mounting positions which are related to location information; a battery tray which is mounted to one or more battery tray mounting positions, and has an inherent ID; and a system management part(140) which is electrically connected to the battery tray, and stores the location information and the inherent ID. The system management part determines the battery tray mounting position corresponding to the battery tray according to the inherent ID and location information.
